The CB "Herringbone"

The CB "Herringbone" guitar is Chris' interpretation of the classic Dreadnought guitar. The Dreadnought-size body is at its best in ensemble settings, where ultimate power and focus of tone is required to be heard among other instruments. This potential for power and clarity has made the Dreadnought guitar the preferred choice of Bluegrass guitarists, who require a guitar that can be heard along with such loud instruments as fiddle, banjo & mandolin.

The CB "Herringbone" guitar is the ultimate evolution of the original Dreadnought design. Based on the finest instruments from the mid-1930s, Chris' hand-scalloped X-bracing yields maximum power while maintaining a sweet, focused tone for lead picking. The clarity of tone and balance of Chris' Dreadnoughts make them the acoustic equal of any ever built, and Chris' artistic eye for detail lends a look of distinction to CB guitars, making them "stand out in a crowd" visually as well as acoustically.
